We collect allergy profile selections, restaurant visit reports, dishes eaten, verification context, reaction follow-up responses, notes you choose to submit, and notification preferences.

Location and restaurant data

When you use nearby search, your browser may share approximate coordinates with the app so Gulpp can request nearby restaurants. Restaurant search and map data may rely on Google services.

How we use information

We use your information to create your profile, show relevant restaurant allergy context, log restaurant visits, calculate community evidence scores, send follow-up reminders, and maintain service reliability.

Aggregated and de-identified report patterns may be used to improve scoring, moderation, product quality, and safety messaging.

Service providers

Gulpp may use infrastructure and product services such as Convex, Vercel, Google, and Resend to operate the app, store data, provide restaurant search, and send email.

We do not sell personal allergy profiles. Public restaurant pages may show community report information in aggregated or summarized form. Gulpp uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which collect anonymized page view and performance data to help us understand how the app is used and improve it.

Your choices

You can update your allergy profile and notification preferences in the app. You can choose not to provide optional notes or reaction details, but some features require selected allergens.

Retention

We keep account, profile, and report information while your account is active or as needed to operate, audit, improve, and protect the service.
